Galapagos frigates
In the Galapagos Islands there are two species of frigates: real and common. They are large birds, with a distance of 1.8 meters from the tips of the wings, are light and have a long and curved beak that allows them to catch fish without getting wet.

The frigates to feed rob other birds, mainly of the red-footed boobies. When it is time to nest, they seize alien nests or settle with some sticks.

When the breeding season approaches, the male inflates his throat or buche, a dazzling red color (represents 40% of the total volume of the bird), and making his neck is the perfect weapon to attract females.

Courtship involves a series of sounds ranging from the waving of the wings, to the drumming of the crop; Males cannot waste time and must take advantage of the time to reproduce and pass their genes to the next generation. The females select the males by combining two visual characteristics: the nest and the crop.
