Ecuador

Family: Psittacidae      Bibiñas or Pacific of Parrots
Scientific name: Forpus coelestis.
Name in English: Pacific Parrotlet.
Location: Route of the Malecón del Estero Salado y toda la Ciudad de Guayaquil
These little parakeets are easy to recognize for how restless and curious they are, as well as for their short wedge-shaped tail. They look for their food in the tops of trees and shrubs. However, they also walk on the ground of fields and beaches collecting seeds. They fly in small and bustling flocks of 10 to 15 parakeets. Although they are species4s of dry forest, they have adapted to live in towns and cities, in Guayaquil, they nest in cement poles, near telephone facilities.

They congregate to sleep in the mangroves, forests and parks. They are endemic to the region of equatorial dry forests or Tumbeslna. They live from the south of Esmeraldas, guayas ecuador to the north of Peru.
